November 7– December 7

The holidays are a season for generosity, connection, and community. This year, Normandy Farm and Blue Bell Country Club are honored to come together and partner with Laurel House to bring warmth and hope to families in our area through their Adopt a Family program. This year we have adopted three families whose lives have been affected by domestic violence.

Through this initiative we’re raising funds that will be used to purchase gift cards that will be given directly to mothers supported by Laurel House. These gift cards give parents the independence and dignity of shopping for their children, which is something that feels ordinary for many of us during the Holiday season but can be extraordinary for families rebuilding after crisis. A small gift becomes a symbol of care, stability, and the chance to create joyful holiday memories.

How You Can Help

Supporting the initiative is simple, stop by Normandy Farm Hotel and in the lobby choose an ornament from our Christmas tree in the donation amount of your choice, and bring the ornament to a Front Desk Agent to make your donation. You’ll receive a donation receipt at the time of your contribution.

Our Goal

We’re aiming to raise $1,000 by December 7 so that we can purchase the gift cards that were requested from the families. Once we reach our goal, we’ll continue accepting donations through December 21 to support Laurel House with any last-minute placements or needs that arise during the busy holiday season. Every donation, large or small, helps ensure a brighter holiday for a family in need.

Why Giving Back Matters

For many of us, the holidays are a time of abundance. For others, it’s a reminder of how fragile safety and stability can be. Giving back during the season is an opportunity to turn gratitude into action. Your gift does more than purchase presents; it delivers hope, restores dignity, and shows survivors that they’re supported by their community.

When we come together, from guests to employees, small acts of generosity multiply. Whether it’s selecting a $10 ornament or donating a larger amount, your support helps Laurel House deliver immediate, meaningful assistance to families across Montgomery County.

About Laurel House

  • Advocate for and empower those impacted by domestic violence by providing crisis intervention, safe haven, supportive programs, and resources

  • Advance social change through preventative education, community training, and collaboration to foster a coordinated response to domestic abuse

Laurel House is a comprehensive domestic violence agency serving individuals, families, and communities throughout Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The agency’s name reflects the laurel, Pennsylvania’s state flower. The laurel is symbolic of victory for people who take the courageous step of seeking help and building a violence-free life for themselves and their children.

Laurel House’s roots go back to 1980, when the Women’s Center of Montgomery County founded a domestic violence shelter for abused women and their children. Laurel House became an independent nonprofit in 1981 and has since expanded into a full continuum of services. In addition to emergency shelter, Laurel House provides a 24-hour hotline and text line, transitional housing, a children’s program, individual and group counseling, medical advocacy, legal representation and advocacy, crisis response and law enforcement collaboration, and broad community education and prevention programs.

This holiday season, please join Normandy Farm, Blue Bell Country Club and Laurel House in supporting families who are working toward a safer, more hopeful future. Together we can bring comfort, joy, and a little holiday magic back into their homes. Thank you for your generosity.
