The Normandy Farm Hotel & Conference Center has a variety of interesting, educational and exciting teambuilding classes to choose from! Teambuilding is a great way to have fun and build relationships within an organization. These completely "hands-on" instructional classes may be held anytime during the day or evening and are typically scheduled as three hour events.
Cooking For a Cause
There's no greater treat than sharing a home-cooked meal with loved ones for a soldier returning home from abroad. A great team-building exercise and social get-together, our chef leads you through the preparation of assorted casseroles. Afterwards, enjoy dinner and dessert!
Extra casseroles will be individually wrapped by our staff and brought directly to the USO facility near the Willow Grove Air Base. The casseroles will be frozen once they are there. As the soldiers return home they will receive one of the casseroles as their welcome home meal!
Old School Game Night
Giant - and we mean GIANT - versions of popular old school games will bring a new twist to your event! Add one of these games to your next event and your guests are sure to have a memorable experience. Use with caution - creativity and competitiveness are contagious! Choose from: Jenga, Connect Four, Pick-Up Sticks and Bean Bag Toss
Chief Cooking Officer
“The team that cooks together stays together,” is our motto! Under the director of our culinary experts, your group will split up into teams and each team will cook their own entrée. Get out the cutting boards and the knives… this is the real thing!
Win, Lose or Drink
Get your group together for a wine pairing event like no other! Learn the origins of wine, wine pairing and more from an on-site expert. But when the on-site expert disappears, will your teams be able to pass the test???
Wii Arcade
Let’s compete in the virtual bowling alley at Normandy Farm Hotel! We have created a Wii Arcade like no other. Compete against your teammates at three different Wii gaming stations that are projected onto the big screen. Lots of excitement and intensity!
Outdoor Challenge - Seasonal
Get on your sneaks and get ready for an outdoor challenge on our rolling greens. This event takes place on our golf course and features fun stations like blind folded putting, silly spins, and relay races. Celebrate the winning team at an outdoor BBQ!
GREEN Teambuilding Events
Go Green Racing
READY...SET...GOOOOOO GREEN!!! Within the two-hour activity, teams will be tasked with creating solar cars from kits provided, and also building cars from materials used and thrown away everyday by millions of Americans. The solar cars will be put to the test and judged for performance, while the recycled cars will be built for speed! The event concludes with a round robin drag race tournament to determine which car is the fastest! Cars created during the event will be donated to local schools as part of a GREEN classroom urriculum to area students, this event has the ability to help educate future generations.
Habitat for Humanity in the Ballroom
The American Red Cross estimates that over 275,000 homes were destroyed when Hurricane Katrina ripped through the Gulf Coast. Over 5,000 of those homes were located in the St. Tammany Parish of Louisiana. For those who cannot travel to Louisiana to participate in Habitat's efforts, this activity is a great solution. Teams take part in challenging team-oriented tasks that result in the construction of personalized housewarming gifts that will be donated to Habitat for Humanity beneficiaries in St. Tammany Parish. At the end of the day, teams have made an essential contribution to Americans in need.
Ecosino
The environment and global warming have become much-publicized topics over the last several years. Given this increased focus, Ecosino an activity that showcases the importance of recycling and energy conservation, and will benefit local communities. The goal within the two-hour activity is for teams to devise a strategy to maximize winnings at professionally managed casino tables within the ballroom setting. Prize packages consist of items that will help beneficiaries have greener homes and/or communities, and will help them protect the environment! Beneficiary partners include local Habitat for Humanity affiliates, community centers, schools and/or other community organizations to make the donation possible.
